RACE 1 (Saturday) : Starting from pole position in race 1, GMT94 French rider Jules Cluzel #16 was leading the race before a competitor hit him at turn 12. Fortunately Jules was unhurt and was able to participate at the second race, on Sunday. Federico Caricasulo #94, teammate of Jules Cluzel, was confident and crossed the finish line in sixth.

RACE 2 (Sunday) : A few hours before the second race, a light rain came to the Aragon circuit and Supersport riders had changed tyre choices. Surprised by the crash of a competitor ahead of him, Federico Caricasulo #94 crashed on the first lap. He was in trying to get back to get points.

Jules Cluzel #16 had to start from the last place on the grid because of a tyre pressure problem. Following this technical incident, Jules made an incredible comeback and took the lead of the race with three laps to go. He crossed the finish line in third position.



Although GMT94 Yamaha Team left Aragon with a podium, Christophe Guyot – Team Manager expressed its disappointment about results. According to him, he expected GMT94 riders score maximum number of points this weekend with the pole and two possible victories. Nevertheless, he also expressed its confidence for the rest of the season.

The second round of the World Supersport championship will take place from 28th – 30th May 2021 at the Estoril Circuit (Portugal).
