Although Fabio Quartararo had a tough weekend at the Sachsenring circuit, he managed to achieve a solid third place, earning essential points for the championship.

Fabio Quartararo delivered a cool-headed performance with a well-deserved third place in GermanGP. Just before the start of the premier class race, everyone was surprised that spots of rain could fall, what added extra tension on the grid.

Starting from second, Fabio Quartararo achieved a good start but unfortunately, he dropped back to sixth in the first lap. Nine laps into the race, rain started to fall again, causing many riders to throw caution to the wind and make the most of the slicks while the track was still dry. Fabio stayed determinate and focused on tyre management.

Lap after lap, the Frenchman rider #20 managed to overtake three riders ahead of him. Unfortunately, El Diablo was not able to close the gap to the leading group. He crossed the finish line in third place, with a 6.772s-gap to the race winner.

Fabio Quartararo expands his lead in the championship standings with an additional 22-point and a 131 points total. Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP team is also in first place in the Team standings with 206 points.

The next MotoGP race will be held at the TT Circuit Assen (Netherlands) from 25th – 27th June 2021.
