GMT94 Yamaha Team had started well the weekend at the Navarra circuit as Jules Cluzel #16 & Dani Valle #31 realized good qualifying sessions. Jules also made a good Superpole session with 4th fatest time. The young Spanish rider, Dani Valle #31 replaced Federico Caricasulo (ex-GMT94 rider) for the Spaniard round.

RACE 1 (Saturday) : Jules Cluzel had realized a good start but an incident with another rider, slotted him into 8th position. He did its best to fight in the leading group. He finished 4th position, one second from the podium. Finishing 18th, Dani Valle realized a good performance for his 1st race with French independent Team and also scored his first world championship points.

RACE 2 (Sunday) : Jules Cluzel, one of the fastest riders on the track, managed a good race with a great start. But the race was stopped with 6 laps to go, following an incident 2 laps earlier. Jules finished 4th. Starting from 22nd position, Dani Valle made an excellent comeback until to reach 14th place. Unfortunately, when the red flag arrived, the young Spanish rider was tried to conquer 11th. He finished 14th.

Despite some difficulties met, Christophe Guyot – GMT94 YAMAHA Team manager expressed his satisfaction about weekend. “This weekend signed our return to the fight for the podium. Our positions do not reflect the level of performance we had. So we can arrive at Magny-Cours with the ambition to get back on the podium” added Christophe.

The seventh round of the World Supersport Championship will take place on the weekend of 3-5 September at Magny-Cours (France).
