The Frenchman rider #20 made a clever & spetacular riding at the Misano Circuit (Italy). El Diablo crossed the finish line in 2nd place with a 0.364s gap over leader. 

Quartararo had a strong start and snaked through the first corners in second place before settling in third. In the opening two laps, Fabio Quartararo and Jorge Martin were fought for 3rd place, but the Spanish rider crashed out on lap 3. The Frenchman was really determinate to stay close with the leading group.

Thanks to an aggressive riding, the number-20 rider gradually closed the gap to Jack Miller, second. With 14 laps to go, Miller made a riding mistake and Quartararo skillfully succeeded to overtake it.

Fabio Quartararo fought tooth and nail, coming as close as 0.151s with the leader. Quartararo made a splendid race finishing second, with a 0.364s gap over the finish line. With 19 premier class podiums to his name, Quartararo is now the most successful French rider in history.

With a 234 points total, Fabio Quartararo still leads the championship and now counts 48-point advantage to the second, Francesco Bagnaia. Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP is still in first place in the team standings with 329 points.

The next MotoGP round will take place at the Circuit of Americas in Austin (USA), from 1st – 3rd October.
