FABIO QUARTARARO ENDS 2021 MOTOGP SEASON

WITH A SOLID 5th PLACE

Fabio Quartararo and Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP were in Valencia (Spain) for the last MotoGP Round – Gran Premio de la Comunitat Valenciana.

This last MotoGP round was very special at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo. The Gran Premio de la Comunitat Valenciana marked the last race day of MotoGP icon Valentino Rossi – a day no racing enthusiast will ever forget. Fabio Quartararo & Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP were keen to impress on the momentous occasion.

Starting from third start row, Fabio Quartararo made a strong start and also reached to make a good opening lap from eighth on the grid.

As the leading group started to break away, El Diablo tagged onto the back of the leading group. The Frenchman soon piled on the pressure on Jack Miller, while managing skillfully tyres and speed for the remainder of the race. The Frenchman #20 secured a solid fifth place.

2021 MotoGP World Champion Fabio Quartararo accumulated 278 points in total and Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP Team are second in the team title standings with 380 points and a 53-point margin to first.

2021 MotoGP World Champion Fabio Quartararo expressed its satisfaction after race:

“ To be honest, I’m satisfied because we were in a bad situation when we started on Friday morning, but we achieved quite a great pace today. We changed the bike in Warm Up this morning and that made it a bit better. It wasn’t easy, but we achieved something that’s pretty great. I wanted to have fun today more than wanting a good result, and I had fun today. So, I’m super happy, because even if it wasn’t the perfect weekend I hoped for, we were able to get a top-5 result. I enjoyed the race, and we finished the season in a good way. ”

Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP Team will be back in action on 18-19 November for the first 2022 winter test at the Circuito de Jerez (Spain).
