Fabio Quartararo and Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP were in Losail (Qatar) for the 2022 MotoGP season opener.

Fabio Quartararo #20 made a strong start in Grand Prix of Qatar and did his best to stuck to a plan perfectly. Starting from 11th place, he temporarily succeeded to move him up to seventh, before closing the first lap in eighth place. During all the race, he struggled to defend his position as pursuing riders continued to keep pushing. The Frenchman rider #20 spent the remaining 11 laps managing tyres. He finished 9th and collected 7 solid points.

Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP Team will be back from 18th to 20th March for the second round, the Grand Prix of Indonesia, which will take place at the Mandalika Circuit.
