Fabio Quartararo, born in Nice on 20th April 1999, realized his passion for motorcycle racing in his native France at the tender age of four.
He soon moved to Spain to develop his career with success. He competed in the national championship in the 50cc, 70cc, and 80cc categories between 2008 and 2011 before winning the Pre-Moto3 national title in 2012.
In 2019, Fabio debuted in MotoGP during the 2019 season by riding a Yamaha from the Petronas SRT team. He will quickly become one of the revelations of the paddock, taking no less than six pole positions and seven podiums. These results allowed him to finish as the best independent driver and win the Rookie of the Year trophy 2019.
Announced as a future champion, “El Diablo” moved up a gear in 2020. He then had a great start to the season by leading the championship for several races and finished 8th with 127 points.
The 2021 season will then be consecration for Fabio Quartararo within the Monster Energy Yamaha team. The latter scored five victories and ten podiums, becoming the first French MotoGP world champion.
During the 2022 championship, Fabio manages to challenge for the title, but he will ultimately settle for 2nd against the Ducati of Francesco Bagnaia.
Despite a more challenging season than previous ones, in 2023, “El Diablo”’s speed and skills have earned him a well-deserved place among MotoGP’s elite. Fabio Quartararo finished 10th in the championship.
