Since 2020, BS Battery has been an official partner of the GMT94 Yamaha Team. The French independent Team is managed by Christophe Guyot – team manager.
Beyond competition, the GMT94 Yamaha Team wants to turn racing into a tool for developing new projects favoring motorcycle riders and young people.
Approved by GMT94 engineering, the BSLi-02 lithium battery has also been selected as the official battery on YFZ-R6 Yamaha model, providing lightness and increased power with extended high performances. The French independent Team is also used to use an additional lithium battery – the BSLi-03 lithium battery as a start-up assistance battery, mainly used on the starting grid.
For 2024, the GMT94 welcomes two new riders!
In the World Superbike Championship, the Team welcome the german pilot Philippe ÖTTL, fielding the latest-spec YAMAHA R1, powered our unique lithium battery.Winner of a Moto3 Grand Prix and author of 3 podiums in the category, Philipp Öttl arrived in the Supersport World Championship in 2020 and in the Superbike World Championship in 2022.
In the World Supersport Championship, the double world French champion Lucas MAHIAS joins the GMT94 Yamaha. The rider, author of 8 poles, 29 podiums, and 9 victories in the category, will take the number 94 to take his Yamaha R6 powered by our BSLi-02 to the podiums and aim for a third world title!
