Starting in 2025, BS Battery is thrilled to power the Saddlemen Race Development Team with lithium batteries and smart charging solutions as they compete for victory in the MotoAmerica Mission King Of The Baggers (KOTB) and Mission Super Hooligan National Championships (SHNC).

Founded in 1987 in Long Beach, California, Saddlemen has earned its reputation as “Gel Seat Experts” by innovating motorcycle seating and luggage through track-driven R&D. Over the past 35 years, the engineering team and more than 200 rider employees have tested products in flat track, drag racing, and MotoGP—turning every race into an opportunity to refine their gel-core seats and carbon fiber components.

For the upcoming season, Team Saddlemen Race Development will field Cory West, Jake Lewis, and Travis Wyman aboard specially-prepared 2025 Harley-Davidson machines.

The 2025 Harley-Davidson Road Glide Limited race bike is based on Harley-Davidson’s touring platform but extensively reengineered to comply with MotoAmerica King Of The Baggers regulations. Under the rules, its 131 cubic inch Screamin’ Eagle Twin-Cooled™ Milwaukee-Eight V-twin engine revs up to a 7,000 rpm redline, using dual overhead valves and liquid-cooled exhaust valves for optimal thermal management. Saddlemen strips the stock Road Glide down to the chassis and rebuilds it with lightweight, race-specific components, most notably full carbon fiber fairings and bodywork that reduce weight and improve aerodynamics—while retaining factory suspension geometry and balance.

For Super Hooligan competition, Team Saddlemen’s Pan America 1250 road racer transforms Harley-Davidson’s adventure touring platform into a track-focused machine. Each Pan America is fitted with Saddlemen’s in-house carbon fiber subframe, tail section, and front fairing, along with a hand-built stainless steel exhaust and custom adjustable triple clamp assembly for sharper steering response. While the stock 1,250 cc V-twin engine remains, chassis modifications turn the Pan America into a genuine Super Hooligan contender.

In both configurations, Team Saddlemen leverages factory-developed performance parts from Harley-Davidson Screamin’ Eagle (the brand’s official factory-backed racing division), integrated seamlessly with Saddlemen’s carbon fiber bodywork to meet weight and durability targets—without sacrificing reliability. The team has chosen BS Battery’s advanced BSLi-04/06 and BSLi09 lithium batteries, and will rely on the BS30 Smart Charger & Maintainer alongside the BK20 3-in-1 Multi-Bank Charger.
