The R7 Cup championship was launched in 2022 alongside the introduction of the new Yamaha sports model, the YZF-R7. In 2026, the championship celebrates its 5th edition within the Spanish ESBK Championship.
This single-make series was created by Yamaha to share its passion for racing with riders eager to compete in a structured and fair environment.
All participants race on identical GYTR-prepared YZF-R7 machines, ensuring equal performance across the grid. Modifications are not permitted, with standard engine and electronics for every rider. The package includes key racing components such as an Akrapovic exhaust, racing fairings, rearsets, an Öhlins shock absorber, and Pirelli tyres—delivering the perfect setup for competitive racing.
Since 2026, BS Battery has been the official Technical Sponsor of the championship, further reinforcing the series’ commitment to performance and reliability. All bikes are equipped with BS Battery solutions, including the high-performance BSLI-02 MAX battery, the BK20 Smart Charger, and Power Box Booster, ensuring optimal efficiency and consistency.
Championship will be developed in 5 events with double race and one official pre-season test:
